On September 28th I delivered the keynote speech at the Preventing Campus Sexual Violence in Virginia Conference in Roanoke, VA. sponsored by Virginia Tech and the Virginia Dept. of Health, the goal of the conference was to help participants view the work of preventing campus sexual violence through a social justice lens.
Here is the description of my keynote from the conference program:
Connecting the Dots: Sexual Violence Prevention as Social Justice
This keynote will use current examples from the media to explore systemic acceptance of sexism and its connection to sexual violence; as well as violence prevention work and other efforts to achieve social justice.
