I want to share this raw footage I captured of Stanley Stewart, a resident of New Orlean’s Lower Ninth Ward who’s home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. I was able to film Stanly as he briefly talked about surviving Hurricane Katrina. He also reminds us that five years later, people in the Lower Ninth still need our help.
I met Stanley due to my affiliation with the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS) who, in conjunction with the University of Central Florida DeVos Sports Business Management Program, created the Hope for Stanley Foundation which helped rebuild Stanley’s home as well as others in the area.
